Marquee Build – Kent Wedding Venue

30 Nov 2010

This week saw the fruition of 6 months of wedding planning with my couple. Vic & Adam wanted to hold their wedding reception in a marquee at the Groom’s parents home, at the end of November (the first weekend of those heavy snow storms as it turned out!).

Together with Miles and his team at Perfect Day Marquees, we designed a marquee which would fit around the structures of the house, patio, offices, garages and incorporating three difference levels, a narrow access path and a curved driveway!

We wanted a main marquee which could house a catering tent, a dining room and a dancing room with viewing space for the fireworks.  We also needed a drinks reception area, cloakroom and of course some luxury toilets!

The build was going to be a large, complex one and we invited Jonanthan Ryan from People by Ryan to record our transformation from a garden to a fabulous wedding venue, which he did using a fusion of traditional photographs, HDR panoramas, time lapse and video.
